During our Florence retreat, we had the privilege of stepping into the world of Pineider — a Florentine heritage house founded in 1774, where the art of writing first became a craft.
What began as an elegant stationery atelier in the heart of Florence soon became a destination for some of Europe’s most influential figures, including Napoleon, Lord Byron, and Stendhal.

Over centuries, Pineider evolved into a refined lifestyle brand known not only for its exceptional paper and writing instruments, but also for beautifully crafted leather goods rooted in Florentine craftsmanship and timeless Italian elegance.

From Paper to Lifestyle Brand
As part of our private experience, our ladies were welcomed into an intimate calligraphy workshop guided by calligrapher and teacher Caterina Scardillo. Surrounded by fine paper, pens, and leather goods, the boutique transformed into a beautiful space for creativity, dialogue, and connection.
In our interview, Pineider’s Marketing Manager Luna Badawi beautifully shared the philosophy behind the brand and why craftsmanship, intentionality, and the value of time remain at the heart of Pineider after more than 250 years.
