During our recent Dolce Vita Ladies Club weekend in Milano, we stepped away from the pace of the city for an afternoon dedicated to something increasingly rare: creating with our hands, slowing down and preserving memories on paper.

Together with our official partner Pineider, our ladies were invited to a private creative workshop celebrating paper, craftsmanship and personal storytelling.

We stepped into the magical world of Pineider in Milano...

For our Milano experience, Pineider invited artist Yansu Wang, who has collaborated with the house for years through her Junk Journalism workshops, to guide our ladies in creating their own visual diaries.

Surrounded by beautiful Pineider papers and materials, we combined photographs, paper fragments, leather textures, colours and little memories collected throughout our time in Milano. Each woman created something entirely personal — a page that told her own story of the weekend.

A Visual Diary of Our Milano Memories

It was less about creating something perfect and much more about the process itself: choosing an image because it brought back a feeling, finding a piece of paper that reminded us of a particular moment, experimenting, writing and allowing ourselves to create without thinking too much about the result.

And perhaps that is what made the afternoon so special.

In a world where almost every memory ends up somewhere on our phones, there was something beautiful about turning our experiences into something physical — something we could touch, keep and return to years from now.

It was less about creating something perfect and much more about the process itself: choosing an image because it brought back a feeling, finding a piece of paper that reminded us of a particular moment, experimenting, writing and allowing ourselves to create without thinking too much about the result.

And perhaps that is what made the afternoon so special.
